Itinerary

Day 1

Elevation: 2,850m | Driving Time: 8-9 hours | Distance: 240 km
We depart early from Kathmandu in a comfortable private jeep, driving along the scenic B.P. Highway alongside the roaring Sunkoshi River. We stop for a fresh local lunch at Khurkot or Ghurmi before climbing into the crisp air of the Solukhumbu region. We spend the night at a cozy teahouse in Dhap Bazaar.

Day 2

Elevation: 2,815m | Trekking Time: 4-5 hours | Distance: 14 km
Our foot journey begins with a gentle hike through local villages toward Sigane, where the stunning Numbur Himal comes into view. The trail winds along peaceful ridges until we reach the charming village of Jhapre. In the afternoon, we can visit the local hillside stupas and monastery.

Day 3

Elevation: 3,640m | Trekking Time: 5-6 hours | Distance: 13 km
Leaving Jhapre, we follow a sweeping trail up to a grassy ridge at Bhulbhule, revealing a dramatic backdrop of the Everest range. The trail passes historic mani stone walls and old yak pastures beneath Taklung Danda. We enter beautiful forests that bloom with vibrant rhododendrons in spring, arriving at Pikey Peak Base Camp for a warm teahouse stay.

Day 4

Elevation: 4,065m (Summit) to 3,550m | Trekking Time: 4-5 hours | Distance: 5 km
We wake up before dawn for a steady climb up the western face of the peak. Reaching the summit of Pikey Peak (4,065m) just as the sun breaks, you will witness a breathtaking, 360-degree golden view of Everest, Lhotse, and Makalu. After enjoying the summit, we descend through quiet pine groves to Jase Bhanjyang for a hot meal and rest.

Day 5

Elevation: 2,680m | Trekking Time: 5-6 hours | Distance: 11 km
We descend through tranquil meadows and a deep forest trail before joining an easy trail that leads directly into Junbesi. This beautiful, traditional Sherpa village sits nestled in a deep valley. We have plenty of time to relax, enjoy local food, and interact with the warm hospitality of the native community.

Day 6

Elevation: 2,380m | Trekking Time: 5-6 hours | Distance: 13.5 km
We trail downward along the clear waters of the Junbesi Khola, crossing a steel suspension bridge to reach Beni Ghat for lunch. The scenic path guides us past terraced fields and fragrant pine forests until we arrive at the hillside hub of Phaplu, where we celebrate our final evening on the trail.

Day 7

Elevation: 1,350m | Driving Time: 9-10 hours | Distance: 280 km
After breakfast, our private jeep takes us down the rugged hills of Solukhumbu, passing through Okhaldhunga. We drive west along the highway back to Kathmandu. Our team transfers you safely to your hotel, and we gather for an evening farewell dinner to celebrate your successful Himalayan journey.
